The Metro NY Distribution Center, also known as the Metro New York Distribution Center and the Metro New York Wholesale Distribution Center, was built in 1982 and purchased by ProLogis in 1993. The facility spans over 750,000 square feet of space and offers the following features: easy access to major highways, an airport and rail freight service, onsite parking with valet service and 24-hour security personnel to protect your products from theft or damage.
1) Outline what is happening
Hiring a distribution center can be a daunting task, but it is an important one. When selecting the right facility, there are many factors to consider. You need a facility that has ample space for growth and will provide enough storage for your inventory. One of the most popular distribution centers in New York City is The Metro NY Distribution Center. It offers more than 100,000 square feet of warehouse space and over 6 acres of land-perfect for any growing business. What’s more, they have 18 loading docks which make shipping and receiving your goods quick and easy. For those who are still on the fence about renting this space, you won’t regret it once you see the reasonable rates they offer. The Metro NY Distribution Center also guarantees that your goods will never get lost because their shipments arrive on time every time with their highly efficient system.
2) Outline how people can be part of it
1) Attend a meeting- On July 18th, the public is invited to attend a meeting at 5:30pm. This meeting will be an opportunity for people to learn more about what’s going on with this project and provide feedback. 2) Write a letter- Letters should be sent by September 27th and include your name, address, phone number, email address, and any comments you may have. 3) Participate in a survey- The survey will run from September 1st through September 30th. All questions are optional and participants can choose to skip any questions they do not wish to answer. The survey covers topics such as transit use, environmental issues, safety concerns, transportation options, development of local businesses and residents’ views of the area.
3) Include a call-to-action
This week, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a plan to build a new distribution center in Brooklyn. This is not just any ordinary warehouse space; it will be constructed as a modern facility with high-efficiency and environmental standards.
What are your thoughts on this project? Do you agree with the mayor’s plan? What do you think about Brooklyn being chosen for the location of this distribution center? Share your opinion in our comments section below! The idea of a local distribution center has been discussed before, but most proposals have been rejected by the city because they didn’t believe there was enough room in Manhattan. But now that we have built skyscrapers all over Manhattan, there is plenty of room to house other buildings like offices and hotels too. That way all buildings can stay close together while allowing businesses an easy commute.
