Factors contributing to drainage problems

Drain clogs are one of the most annoying problems a person can have. Unlike other problems you don’t know where to start looking for the root cause, as draining clog problems are not meant to be neglected. The problem keeps on increasing when immediate measures are not taken. As soon as you see signs consider it as the case of drain plumbing and call for a blocked drain plumber

What are the things that can be the root cause behind this problem? Below mentioned points are not just points but the reasons why things are going wrong with your sewerage:

Toilets that clog rather than flush.

This point has become quite common since people don’t stop doing this insensible thing. Blockages are often caused by flushing too much toilet paper or, more generally, flushing the wrong items for example small child’s toy or female sanitary products. This is a serious situation because the object clogging the drain could damage the pipeline or cause damage to your bathroom as the water drains. It is suggested that such solid stuff shouldn’t be disposed of in the wrong manner like that.

Septic waste being collected:

Septic wastewater pooling in your yard is an obvious indication that you might have a broken sewage pipe. A clogged drain area, a broken septic tank, or a cracked main line may be the source of the problem. Frequently, the source of the problem is immediately under the sewer water tank.

Sewer Gas Odor

Ever passed through a place with that awful smell? If you can smell sewer gas in or near your home or house, it’s a sign that your sewer system has a leak. Make sure the sanitary sewer is airtight from everywhere.

Patches of Grass that are extra green and lush:

A sewage leak underground could be causing a dark green coloured lush thing of grass in your yard. Since sewage acts as a fertilizer for plants, sewage leakage into the surrounding soil would provide extra nutrients to the grass, resulting in a lush and extra green appearance.

Mold problem:

Mold growth, in addition to sewer odour, may mean a split in your sewer lines behind your walls. It is important to keep in check that when molds start growing as soon as the humidity level rises above 55%. Given this, a broken sewer pipe behind a wall can cause humidity levels to rise to the point where mold can begin to grow.

Foundation Cracks, Settlement, and Sinkholes:

Foundation problems, such as cracks in the foundation slab, foundation settlement, and, in some cases, sinkholes, are more serious indicators of sewer pipe degradation.

Rodents:

This might be a little bit hard to believe but a rodent problem, believe it or not, maybe a symptom of a sewage line break. You don’t have to wonder much about how they make their way. These rodents tend to find their way in from your mainline tie-in to pipes running behind your walls because they live sewers.

Cleanliness is one of the top things one should prioritize, these little problems can be an invitation to bigger problems. Such things usually cause health and hygiene problems altogether. It is quite important that you have the contact or know drain plumbing services around you.
