Realme’s latest offering in the budget smartphone segment, Realme 2 has received an overwhelming response from customers from its first sale itself. The brand accomplished a successful feat by selling 2 lakh units of Realme 2 within 5 minutes of the sale. Realme phones have consistently been the customer favorite over the past few months and Realme 2 makes no exception in adding to this record. The next sale of Realme 2 is scheduled on 11th September, 2018 from 12:00pm onwards.
Launched on August 28, Realme 2 has already witnessed an unprecedentedn demand online and the sales are indicative of this. Realme 2 has managed to gain new sales records with the first sale on the ecommerce platform. According to Counterpoint Q2 2018 report, Realme ranked the 4th position in the online smartphone market with 4% market share within one month of sale.

Realme 2 was launched in three trendy variants, Diamond Black Diamond Red and Diamond Blue with the 3GB RAM+32GB ROM version priced at INR 8,990 and 4GB RAM+64GB ROM priced at INR 10,990. It sports a 6.2” Notch Full Screen, promising an immersive experience with a length-width ratio of 19:9 and a screen to body ratio of 88.8 percent. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 450 chipset which is paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone marries the “Power meets Style” product philosophy of Realme, taking it ‘A Notch Above’ by offering a big AI-powered 4,230mAh battery with 13 MP+2MP dual rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera. The Realme 2 has an added layer of protection, where the smartphone offers a Physical Fingerprint Sensor, Facial Unlock, and Smartphone Unlock. The device has a dual SIM card slot with a dedicated micro SD card slot. In all, Realme 2 offers customers the best, with respect to price and performance.
Primarily catering to the diverse needs of the young Indian consumers present online, Realme will now function as an independent unit in India and will work separately from parent company OPPO. Although the two brands will continue to share the same manufacturing unit ensuring that customers have access to almost 500 service centers across India with guaranteed 90% of repair cases resolved within an hour.
