Then followed a formal induction programme,
followed by an ice-breaking session organised by PGDPC XXV. Speaking about the challenges of a changing industry, Ms Khosla shared her insights on the importance of keeping imagination alive. She pointed out that the students
should build on their renewable hidden talent, challenge yourself and evolve –“You have a renewable talent that you hold in abundance. It’s your imagination. Don’t think of yourself as advertising people or media people or even brand people. Think of yourself as innovators and artists and performers.” Her tip for the students entering the world of media was: “If you keep your imagination alive, if you feed it and trust it, I can say withconviction that your future will be brighter than sunshine.”

Mr Tarun Nangia shared his insights on the changing panorama of media and marketing communications in business. “A sea change in how we view and consume broadcast news media is on the anvil,” he pointed out and added that, “This will be a time when the medium will drive the type of message being sent. That medium is of broadband. In the next 5 years, all 600 districts of India will be connected with 5G high speedbroadband, which means real time images would easily be able to be transmitted via anyone's smartphone from any of these 600 districts. This will change the nature of communication and stories will not be limited to the urban centres of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune or Bangalore”.

Prof Ramola Kumar, Dean observed that “As we step into our 26th year, it is with arejuvenating feeling and a deep sense of gratitude to all participants, who have shared this journey with us. Building Young India comes with greater challenges today, with global competition and synergy in various forms. We step into the future welcoming
Change and the energy that comes with it. I invite the incoming group of young adults to become the Change agents to build a better world for their tomorrow’s”.
