Take a Tour to Spinalonga Island

When you dine at a local taverna, you can often sample the best food in town. You’ll probably even get a free glass of wine, which is rare.

I recommend visiting a local taverna every time I’m in Agios Nikolaos.

Lie on Kitroplateia Beach

Kitroplateia beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Agios Nikolaos. It is a long stretch of sand, and the sea is shallow enough to wade into.

The best thing about the beach is the nearby taverna, where you can enjoy a traditional Greek meal and a drink.
