Since we can remember, one particular Czech ammo manufacturer has provided great, yet cost-effective ammo to the American market. What we’re looking at in this blog is the quality of Sellier and Bellot 9mm ammunition.
Perfectly created for shooting cinema use, this ammunition offers a range of great features. It provides pretty much no point-of-impact shifting and being lead-free means you’ll have much less weapon cleaning to do after use.
Indoor ‘Cinema’ Shooting
One of the great things about cinema shooting ranges is that they offer a range of different scenarios in which to test your skills. The usual issue here is the high-ish emissions from ammunition in a confined space, which can cause health issues, leading to the creation of much cleaner Sellier and Bellot 9mm for this very purpose.
The distinctive smell of cordite is one that any seasoned shooter will be aware of and when you’ve fired off a string of them in an unventilated area, it’s soon going to irritate your breathing. Thanks to this great ammo’s NONTOX boxer primer.
No mercury, lead or other toxins are produced when shooting, so it’s ideal for use in closed ranges where ventilation is an issue.
Point of Impact Performance?
Designed for use at a range of just over 80 feet, Sellier and Bellot 9mm ammo is widely used at cinema galleries. Some people prefer not to have to adjust their weapon’s optics when firing, with this type of screen ammunition, it’s not something you have to worry about.
In terms of point of impact performance, it’s pretty much the same as standard ammo for hunting – something our practical test was able to confirm. Both when firing at close range (25m) or further (100m) with a fully set up rifle, the rounds landed exactly where they were supposed to.
The Cleaner Claim Is Completely True
We’re with anyone who says that they hate cleaning their gun, as the consensus among our team is that we detest it. After firing off some 100 rounds with the rifle (CZ Scorpion Evo 3) and the hand gun (Sig Sauer P938) we used, both were nice and easy to restore to their pre-firing gleam.
All it took was one pull through of the bore snake and the barrel was completely clean. This is, in part, due to the lower velocity of the bullets, their nickel plating and the much reduced heating of the barrel. The result? No more swearing at your gun that you just can’t seem to get clean.
A Fantastic Screen Ammo Option
So, when everything is considered, our Sellier and Bellot 9mm ammunition review confirmed what we believed prior to testing. It’s a fantastic option as screen ammunition for use in indoor shooting cinemas thanks to its low emissions and awesome accuracy.
One thing you won’t have to worry about when using these rounds is having to spend hours cleaning the residue from inside your weapon.
