The interest rates for DSCR mortgages are generally 1% to 2% higher than those on conventional loans. Interest rates may be higher if there is no lease on the property and the projected rent is based on an appraisal rather than actual data.

Although DSCR rates and conditions are competitive with other loan kinds, the latter do not give as much money. Therefore, DSCR loans may not be the ideal choice if your needs are more than $5,000,000.
