There are many ways to get a mini statement. Canara Bank provides both offline and online options to download a mini statement. In this article, we will discuss the various options in detail. Mini statement
We can say that a mini statement is a shorter version of a bank statement. A bank statement contains all the transaction details carried out during the selected period and other information including Bill payment, credit card payment amount, interest earned, etc. But, a mini statement is a summary of the last few transactions carried out in your account. For most of the banks, it contains the last 5-10 transactions. However, a Canara Bank mini statement contains the last 5 transactions and the current balance in your account.
As mentioned above there are online and offline methods to get a mini statement. Let’s see all of them one by one.
Canara bank mini statement through phone call
To access your mini statement without visiting the bank, you can just call the Canara Bank mini statement number and get your mini statement.
- First, your mobile number should be registered with the bank. You can see the guidelines given in this article.
- Dial the Canara Bank mini statement numbers:09015613613 for Hindi, and 09015734734 for English.
- Follow the instructions given by the IVR. You will be given an option to press a number specifically for mini statement.
- Press that number and the bank will send you a text containing the last 5 transactions and the current balance in your account.
Mobile number registration
- You can register your mobile number online by visiting the official website of Canara Bank.
- On the profile section, there will be an option for “update mobile number”. Select that.
- Then, enter the mobile number you wish to register. Enter other required details such as your account number, name, address, etc.
- Shortly after that, your mobile number will be registered with your bank.
- If you want to do it offline, you have to visit a nearby bank branch.
- Ask for a mobile number registration form from the bank staff.
- Fill up your personal details, account details and the mobile number you wish to register.
- Submit it along with the identity proof documents. Your Aadhaar card/driving licence/any other government-issued identity card will serve as your identity proof document.
Canara bank mini statement through mobile banking
➢First, you need to download and install the Canara Bank mobile app, CANMOBILE.
➢Then, set it up, link your bank account to the app. If you have more than one account, you can link all of them with the app.
➢Now, go to the mini statement option.
➢When you tap on it, you will see the last 5transactions carried outon your account.
Canara bank mini statement through ATM
If you don’t have access to a mobile banking portal, you can also get a mini statement through ATM. just go to a nearby ATM and insert your debit card into the card slot. Then, enter the PIN code of your debit card. It is advisable not to disclose this PIN code to anyone to prevent scams and misuse of your card. There will be various options on the screen. Select “mini statement”. Then, you can get your mini-statement printed on a small sheet of paper.
Canara Bank mini statement through Internet banking
You can also get a mini statement through Canara Bank Internet banking portal.
- Visit the official website of Canara bank and log into you account by entering the User ID and password you set.
- Under the account section, there will be an option for mini statement. Click on that option and the last 5 transaction history will be shown on the screen.
To have access to the Internet banking portal, you have to register yourself for it.
- Open the browser on your device and go to the official website of Canara Bank.
- Go to the option for registration under the ‘Online Banking’ or ‘Login’ section.
- Enter some details like account number, card details, personal information, and you will receive an OTP (OneTime Password) to your registered mobile number for verification.
- Then, set up a user ID and password. The password should be strong, it will be a combination of alphabets, numbers, and special characters.
- After registration, you can use these newly created credentials to log into your account.
- Sometimes, you will have to set a security question and its answer to enable two-factor authentication or link a registered device for extra security. You can set something you can easily remember lest you forget it later. This two-factor authentication will add extra security to your account and help you from unauthorized login and fraudulent activities.
If you make transactions for large amounts of money, it is advisable to link your PAN card in case you want to file your income tax return. If you don’t have one yet, you can get it in two ways. You can log into the UTIITSL portal for UTI PAN card download or the NSDL portal now known as Protean.
- Visit the official websites of NSDL or UTIITSL to apply for a PAN card online.
- Select the ‘New PAN’ option on the portal.
- Opt for PAN card Form 49A, suitable for individuals including Indian citizens, NRE/NRI, or OCI individuals.
- Fill up the form with all the required personal details provided in the form.
- Make the payment of the processing fee online or through a demand draft after form submission.
- Upon successful submission of Form 49A and fee payment, receive an acknowledgement slip with a 15-digit acknowledgment number.
- Choose to e-Sign the application using Aadhaar OTP authentication or send the application with necessary documents via courier to the NSDL PAN office or UTIITSL office within 15 days.
- Following the courier submission, NSDL/UTIITSL performs PAN verification, and within 15 days, the physical PAN card is generated and dispatched to the provided address after verification.
Once you’ve applied for a new PAN on UTIITSL, you can track the status of your PAN using the UTI TrackPAN webpage at https://www.trackpan.utiitsl.com/PANONLINE/trackApp. Enter your Applicant Coupon Number or PAN, DOB and Captcha to check your UTI PAN Status and it will be shown on the screen.
Eligibility criteria to avail a PAN Card
To be eligible for a PAN card in India, you must be a citizen or taxpayer in the country. This includes individuals, companies, and foreign nationals conducting business in India. So, it is not limited to individuals only. Any company or partnership firm can also avail a PAN Card and it becomes mandatory for such entities to have a PAN when they are filing their income tax returns.
