Three years ago, I decided to make my own business, and one of the first products I wanted was a personalized key chain.

I wanted to include something unique to put on my keys and stand out as my own.

I saw and picked up a bunch of decorative keychains and thought to myself, “why not make my own!”

And you know what? I really enjoyed it! I just had fun putting together my own design.

I really love the various shapes and sizes I could make my key chains…and I’ve made different ones for my daughter to use, my husband to wear, and I for myself to keep on my keychain!

Then, I figured out what I wanted to base mine around.

I’ve been symbolizing the moon since my daughter was born,… so that’s my moon art style.

There are many different methods for making keychains custom. Often keychains are made using hard plastic material like acrylic or plastic sheeting, but you can also use resin, plexiglass sheets, or even wood you have at home

If you do choose some type of material you can provide it yourself, but you can also choose to have the manufacturer do so, which is of course a great time saver.

For our purposes, we’ll focus on acrylic sheets for making keychains, and we’ll go through the method from start to finish.
